| Spanish abstract | Ciudad Juárez se caracteriza, entre otros elementos, por ser uno de los poblados con mayores índices de feminicidios en Latinoamérica. A partir de esta realidad surgen múltiples iniciativas autogestionadas con el objetivo de buscar justicia y mantener en la memoria colectiva a aquellas mujeres y niñas que ya no están. De acuerdo a esto, Ellas Tienen Nombre surge como un proyecto cartográfico que busca dejar constancia de la ubicación de este tipo de crímenes y aportar a la construcción del relato de las víctimas. Así, desde una perspectiva de geografía feminista, este artículo propone la interpretación de dicho trabajo cartográfico como una estrategia narrativa que potencia la memoria y se establece como una herramienta multifuncional de análisis crítico que ayuda a visibilizar y comprender el control territorial de la violencia e impunidad, abriendo así un nuevo espacio de discusión para comprender el impacto de los crímenes feminicidas en el tejido social |
| English abstract | Ciudad Juárez is characterized, among other elements, by being one of the towns with the highest rates of femicides in Latin America. From this reality multiple self-managed initiatives arise with the purpose of seeking justice and keeping the women and girls who are no longer there in the collective memory of those who remain. In this line, Ellas Tienen Nombre poses a cartographic project that seeks to record the location of this type of crime and contribute to the construction of the victims' narrative. Thus, from the perspective of feminist geography, this article proposes the interpretation of this cartographic work as a narrative strategy that enhances memory and establishes itself as a multifunctional tool for critical analysis as a resource for visibility and comprehension of the territorial control of violence and impunity, providing the opening of a new space for discussion to understand the impact of femicide on the social tissue |
