| Spanish abstract | El objetivo de este artículo es proponer a la literatura de autoayuda como un género propio de la cultura de masas y caracterizarlo como tal, en función del tema, la estructura y los usos retóricos. La literatura de autoayuda y su expandida presencia en la sociedad contemporánea es interpretada en relación al contexto, especialmente el mundo del trabajo y la condición del sujeto. Se analiza la significación que cobra en estos textos la idea de éxito y la noción de cambio. Finalmente, se reseñan algunas de las técnicas que los textos de autoayuda promueven como formas de escape a los conflictos vitales. La literatura de autoayuda es concebida,en este trabajo, como un dispositivo de formación de la subjetividad que conduce al sujeto a sentirse único responsable por las circunstancias de su existencia. El proceso central que se describe en este trabajo es la cancelación de las condiciones objetivas, la remisión constante a la situación subjetiva y el enmascaramiento del conflicto. El destinatario, en estos textos, es concebido como un actor omnipotente cuyo principal objeto es el sí-mismo, contribuyendo de esta maneraa la conformación de un sujeto enajenado |
| English abstract | The aim of this article is to propose the self-help literature as a gender of mass culture. It is characterized by the theme, the structure and the retoric use of the language. The expended presence of the self-help literature in contemporary society has a special meaning that is understood by the context, particularly the world of work and the social conditions of the individuals. It is analized as well the particular meaning of the ideas of success and change Finally, we describe the technics that the self-help literature promotes they are considered as a way of evasion from daily conflicts This literature gender is analized, in this article, as a device that has an important role in subjectivity formation It takes the individuals to a sense of personal responsability on the circumstances of his existence The central process that this paper describes is the annulation of objectivity, the constant re-sending to the subjective situation and the hidding of conflicts From these books, the public is considered as a powerful actor whose principal interest is the self. In this way, it contributes to the conformation of an alienated human being |
