| Spanish abstract | A través del siglo XIX pueden encontrarse en la historia de América Latina y el Caribe los antecedentes de las ideas liberadoras socialistas, mezcladas con concepciones tomistas, nominalistas, liberales, socialistas, anarquistas, todas ellas con un marcado carácter utópico. Se busca trascender la historia inmediata y proponer un mundo más esperanzador, igualitario y justo. En la historia de América Latina y del Caribe, desde los albores de las luchas independentistas, iniciadas por vez primera con la rebelión de los esclavos negros del Haití en 1804, desde allí puede observarse que hasta la actualidad, históricamente, ha estado jalonada por los acontecimientos y las transformaciones estructurales que van caracterizando el desarrollo del capitalismo dependiente de la región, el cual ha tenido su correspondencia tanto en el plano de las ideas, como de las acciones y de las prácticas de lucha política, social y revolucionaria, en la conformación de las nacionalidades |
