| English abstract | The present article aims to analyze the importance of the hearing for the constitution of the subject in the stoicism, starting from the care notion of oneself, studied by Michel Foucault in his last writings. At one of the most philosophical schools of the antiquity, the hearing will be one of the primordial senses, so much for the acquisition of the logos, of the true speeches, which will make it possible for the subject to bear his/her own existence, as well as in relation to the spiritual direction, which is the essential practice for the formation of the stoic disciple. In that sense they will be fundamental exercises, techniques and abilities for the development of an accurate hearing. For one to have the hermeneutics of oneself in the stoicism it is fundamental to have the faith that one can, with the help of a professional, say the truth about oneself knowing that somebody else is capable of hearing this truth. | Portuguese abstract | O presente artigo objetiva analisar a importância da escuta para a constituição do sujeito estóico, a partir da noção de cuidado de si, estudada por Michel Foucault em seus últimos escritos. Numa das mais importantes escolas filosóficas da antiguidade, a escuta será um dos sentidos primordiais, tanto para a aquisição dos logos, dos discursos verdadeiros, que possibilitarão ao sujeito suportar a própria existência, bem como na direção espiritual, prática essencial para a formação do discípulo estóico. Nesse sentido serão fundamentais exercícios, técnicas e habilidades para o desenvolvimento de uma escuta acurada. Para uma hermenêutica de si no estoicismo é fundamental a crença de que se pode, com a ajuda de um profissional, falar a verdade sobre si mesmo e de que igualmente alguém está apto a ouvir essa verdade. A escuta é condição ontológica de um cuidado de si. Não há subjetividade e verdade sem a possibilidade de escuta |
