| Spanish abstract | Este estudio se realizó para el Estado de Aguascalientes con el objetivo de conocer el Periodo Libre de Heladas (PLH), la probabilidad de ocurrencia y su posible relación con los eventos de El Niño con categoría fuerte. Con el uso del análisis estadístico se obtuvo el promedio mensual de días con heladas para los años de El Niño fuerte, así como el periodo libre de heladas para estos años. Los resultados indican que el periodo de heladas inicia en octubre y termina en abril. En cuanto a la distribución espacial, las heladas se presentan, primero en la parte centro-sur del Estado y, con el transcurso del tiempo, se presentan en todo el Estado durante los meses de noviembre a febrero. En cuanto al efecto de El Niño se encontró que éste genera un aumento en la frecuencia de heladas en el Estado de hasta un 80% en algunos lugares |
| English abstract | This study was realized with the purpose of knowing the Free Period of Frosts (FPF) for the state of Aguascalientes, the probability of occurrence and its possible relation with the strong events of the phenomenon El Niño. Using the statistic analysis, the monthly average of days with frosts was obtained for the years when the Strong phenomenon El Niño occurs, as well as the free period of frosts for these years. The results indicated that the period of occurrence of frosts begins in the month of october, in the region located in the centersouth of the state, and ends in the month of april, and in all the state during the period from november to february. Finally, it was found that the occurrence of frosts is increased when the events of the strong phenomenon El Niño appears, up to 80% in some places |
