| Spanish abstract | La enseñanza otorgada por los docentes, está asociada a la satisfacción escolar, la opinión estudiantil es de alta relevancia en relación al grado de evaluación del conocimiento docente. Objetivo: Determinar el nivel de satisfacción de los estudiantes de la Licenciatura en Medicina con el desempeño académico docente y tutorías de la Universidad del Valle de México, Campus Villahermosa. Método: Se realizó un estudio observacional, analítico, transversal y prospectivo en estudiantes de primer y tercer semestre de la Licenciatura en Medicina de la Universidad del Valle de México, Campus Villahermosa, en noviembre del 2015; se aplicó un cuestionario formulado de 22 ítems con escala tipo Likert con Alfa de CronBach de 0.817, se aplicó la prueba Chi Cuadrada de Pearson y Rho de Sperman aceptándose una p < 0.05. Resultados: Se encuestaron a 81 estudiantes de la Licenciatura en Medicina, 37 del sexo masculino (45.7%), 44 del sexo femenino (54.3%), con edades en promedio de 19.54 ± 3.47 años. El 61.7% referente a 50 estudiantes consideraron estar satisfechos, 60% recibió tutorías académicas, 59% de ellos, citó estar Satisfecho. El 67% de la comunidad se mostró satisfecha con la atención académica impartida por los docentes, se encontró relación entre el nivel de conocimiento y actualización del docente (p < 0.05). Conclusiones: La mayoría de la población se manifestó satisfecha con el desempeño, el número y la actitud académica de los docentes; el proceso de tutorías refuerza la mejora académica |
| English abstract | The teaching given by teachers and their way of teaching is associated with school satisfaction. Student opinion plays an important role related to the evaluation of the teacher knowledge. Objective: Determine the student’s satisfaction level of the Medicine School, with their academic teaching and mentoring from Universidad del Valle de México, Campus Villahermosa. Method: An observational, analytical, cross-sectional and prospective study was conducted in students of the first and third semester of the Medicine School at the Universidad del Valle de México, Campus Villahermosa in November 2015; A 22-item questionnaire with a Likert scale with Cronbach’s Alpha of 0.817 was applied, the Chi-square test of Pearson and Rho of Sperman were applied, accepting a p <0.05. Results: A total of 81 students from the Medicine School, 37 male (45.7%), and 44 female (54.3%), with an average age of 19.54 ± 3.47 years were surveyed. The 61.7% referring to 50 students considered satisfied, 60% received academic mentoring where 59% said they were satisfied with this tutorship. 67% of the community is satisfied with the academic attention given by the teachers, found a relationship was found between the level of knowledge and the teacher’s actualization (p <0.05). Conclusions: The majority of the population was satisfied with the teaching performance, the number of professors and the academic attitude of the teachers, the mentoring process reinforce the academic improvement |
