| English abstract | This essay explores the dichotomy between the processes of the so-called Russian cultural identity as a form of affiliation with the Soviet ideology. It takes Tarkovski’s film and its clashes with the Socialist realism as its starting point. There lies the sources of a discussion, not least controversy, that goes beyond the very limits of the Soviet revolutionary vanguard. According to the hypothesis of our work, the conflicts surrounding the Russian vs. Soviet conflicts can be scaled in three areas: the geopolitical, cultural, and ideological. As it is set in the literary, cinematic and semiotic fields, we have found arguments and experiences that lead us to situate the main research’s question as a way for a critical investigation of an almost unknown history |
| Portuguese abstract | Este ensaio discute a dicotomia que entende o processo de denominação cultural identitária russa como forma de filiação ideológica soviética. Toma como ponto de partida o cinema de Tarkovski e seus embates com o realismo socialista porque situa aí as raízes de uma discussão, não menos polêmica, que ultrapassa os próprios limites da vanguarda revolucionária soviética. Segundo a hipótese de nosso trabalho, os embates que cercam o conflito russo versus soviético podem ser dimensionados em três eixos: o geopolítico, o cultural e o ideológico. Configurados nos campos literário, cinematográfico e semiótico, encontramos argumentos e experiências que nos levam a situar a pergunta de pesquisa como um caminho para a investigação crítica de uma história pouco conhecida |
