| Spanish abstract | El presente escrito parte de la contraposición arendtiana entre las nociones de poder (Macht) y violencia (Gewalt), para confrontarlas con las categorías clásicas de la teoría política, de la mano de la lectura e interpretación que realiza Jürgen Habermas. Se sostiene que no son fenómenos antitéticos, sino que, en la medida en que la legitimidad discursiva es el vínculo entre ellos, la violencia se torna en instrumento legal y legítimo para el poder. La meta de este proceso, según la perspectiva habermasiana, es la institucionalización formal del poder y de la violencia en la racionalidad de la ley y el derecho |
| English abstract | This paper is based on the contrast in Hannah Arendt between the notions of power (Macht) and violence (Gewalt) to compare them with the classical categories of political theory, with the help of reading and interpretation performed Jürgen Habermas, to sustain that phenomena are not antithetical but to the extent that the discursive legitimacy is the link between them, violence becomes in legal and legitimate instrument for power.
