Spanish abstract Con el objetivo de aportar datos anatómicos, que posibiliten el acceso a la región pre-auricular, con menor riesgo de lesión del nervio auriculotemporal en procedimientos quirúrgicos, fue realizada esta investigación, sobre las relaciones topográficas y biométricas de este nervio con la arteria y vena temporales superficiales y el trago. Fueron disecadas 24 hemicaras de cadáveres fijados con formaldehído al 10%, disponibles en el Laboratorio de Anatomía del Departamento de Morfología Humana de la Universidad Federal de Alagoas, Brasil. En siete casos (29,2%) el nervio subía posteriormente a los vasos temporales superficiales, y en otros siete (29,2%), subía junto a la vena. En tres casos (12,5%) el nervio emergía junto con la arteria. En dos casos (8,3%), el nervio estaba en posición intermedia. En cinco casos (20,8%), el nervio subía junto con ambos vasos. La menor distancia del nervio auriculotemporal a la línea pre-auricular fue de 0,3 mm, y la mayor fue de 11,5 mm, con media de 1,89 mm. La menor distancia del nervio con la arteria temporal superficial fue de 0,1 mm, y la mayor fue de 14,6 mm, con media de 8,66 mm, situándose la arteria anterior. Cuando la vena era anterior al nervio, la menor distancia entre sí, fue de 0,2 mm y la mayor, 10,9 mm, con media de 2,91 mm. Cuando la vena estaba en posición posterior, la distancia mínima fue de 0,1 mm, y la máxima de 9,4 mm, siendo la media de 2,54 mm. Concluimos que el nervio auriculotemporal presenta posición variable en la región pre-auricular y es la estructura más próxima a la línea pre-auricular
English abstract Viewing supply anatomical subsidies, that make possible the manipulation of the region pre-auricular, with lesser risk of injury of the auriculotemporal nerve in surgical procedures, this research was carried through on the topographical and biometric relations of this nerve with the superficial temporal artery and vein and tragus. 24 corpse hemi-faces had been dissecated previously settled with formaldehyde 10%, available by the Laboratory of Anatomy of the Department of Human Morphology of the Federal University of Alagoas. In seven cases (29,2%) the nerve ascends later to the superficial secular vases, and in others seven (29,2%), it goes up together to the vein. In three cases (12,5%) the nerve emerges together to the artery. In two chances (8,3%), the nerve is in intermediate position. Already in five cases (20,8%), the nerve promotes together to both the vases. The lesser distance of the auriculotemporal nerve for the line pre-auricular was of 0,3mm, and the greater was of 11,5mm, with average of 1,89mm. The minor distance of the nerve for the artery was of 0,1mm, and the greater of 14,6mm, with average of 8,66mm, being the previous artery. When the vein assumed previous position to the nerve, the lesser distance between them was of 0,2mm, and the greater, 10,9mm, with average of 2,91mm. When the vein was in posterior position, the minimum distance was of 0,1mm, and the maximum, of 9,4mm, being the average of 2,54mm. We conclude that the auriculotemporal nerve presents changeable position in the daily pre-auricular region and is the structure of lesser average distance for the pre-auricular line
