English abstract This article is describing advantages and disadvantages that may become present at the moment of performance utilizing self threading scews, instrumented with strain gages. At present, there is no method of technical paper with describes any process to measure the tension load in assembles that utilize self threading screwe attachment, wich makes it difficult to know if the validated torque provides the necessary clamp load for the assembly, specially in critical joints. Obtaining a process to measure the bolt tension with these screws and strain gages, will help in giving a better reference to the behavior of these screws in the joints, so as the avoid bad quality designs, propitiating savings in time and cost
