| English abstract | The present Research investigates the advances in the theoretical field of Design Science mapped from a set of international articles. The objective is to organize the theoretical field in the context of Information Science from a bibliometric map on the subject. A qualitative study is developed through a descriptive Research that starts from a general premise about Design Science and adds intermediate or particular premises to the term. The data used to construct the Research are composed by a sample of international articles selected by relevance, available in the Web of science database at the date of the consultation. The data collected from the literature review were compiled in a bibliometric map, specially created with the function of facilitating the consultative studies and future Researches in the field of Design Science or that use this method. Specifically, it is expected that the results with the Research offer: a) description of the behavior of the term of Design Science, from the articles consulted, in view of its representativeness in several areas of knowledge; b) presentation of the term Design Science in a transdisciplinary perspective; c) integration of new elements to the seminal concept of Design Science |
| Portuguese abstract | A presente pesquisa investiga os avanços no campo teórico da Design Science mapeados a partir de um conjunto de artigos internacionais. O objetivo é organizar o campo teórico no contexto da Ciência da Informação a partir de um mapa bibliométrico sobre o assunto. Desenvolve-se um estudo qualitativo por meio de uma pesquisa descritiva que parte de uma premissa geral sobre Design Science e agrega premissas intermediárias ou particulares ao termo. Os dados utilizados para construção da pesquisa são compostos por uma amostra de artigos internacionais selecionados por relevância, disponíveis na base de dados Web of science na data da consulta. Os dados coletados da revisão de literatura foram compilados em um mapa bibliométrico, especialmente criado com a função de facilitar os estudos consultivos e as futuras pesquisas sobre no campo da Design Science ou que utilizem esse método. De forma específica, espera-se que os resultados com a pesquisa ofereçam: a) descrição do comportamento do termo de Design Science, a partir dos artigos consultados, face à sua representatividade em diversas áreas do conhecimento; b) apresentação do termo Design Science em uma perspectiva transdisciplinar; c) integração de novos elementos ao conceito seminal da Design Science |
