| English abstract | The following article is the result of a research group called Advanced Studies in Information and had as its aim to verify which were the information sources (press and electronic) used by 28 teachers of high school private educational system of Rondonopolis, MT. In the context, it was presented the internet as an information source, the importance of research from elementary school up to University and also the librarian as a mediator of information in the web. The research portrayed that most of the teachers accessed the sites Google and Yahoo to research. It was also possible to notice that the most used press source was the local newspaper and the most used electronic sources were the specialized magazines. It could be concluded that in order to access information sources, the teachers used the search sites directly, and many assumed they have only learned how to use the search sites after a long period of experience |
| Portuguese abstract | Este trabalho é um resultado do trabalho do grupo de pesquisa Estudos Avançados em Informação e teve como objetivo verificar quais as fontes de informação (impressas e eletrônicas) utilizadas por 28 docentes do ensino médio das escolas particulares de Rondonópolis - Mato Grosso – Brasil. Na contextualização apresenta-se a Internet como fonte informacional, a importância da pesquisa desde o ensino fundamental ao universitário e o bibliotecário como mediador da informação na web. Os estudos evidenciaram que a maioria dos professores utilizava os mecanismos de busca Google e Yahoo para realizar suas pesquisas. Constatou-se que a fonte impressa mais utilizada foi o jornal local e as fontes eletrônicas foram revistas especializadas. Concluiu-se que para acessar as fontes de informações os professores pesquisavam diretamente nos mecanismos de busca, e muitos declararam que só aprenderam a pesquisar com muito tempo de experiência |
