| English abstract | Based on the work of Mikhail M. Bakhtin, this paper discusses his view of the individual person and the relation of otherness, also approaching the works of more contemporary authors who have discussed issues of identity and otherness according to the Bakhtinian philosophy. In a Bakhtinian perspective, and also in the Ponzian and Geraldinian views, it is the tense social environment, thus the other, that organizes and defines who I am. It is at the level of social relations, through language, that we are constantly affected by others, and so they participate in our human development process. According to Bakhtin, the relation of otherness dialogically affect all instances of the individual’s constitution. The philosophy proposed by this author shifts the organizing center of utterances / actions from the self to the other, destabilizing the dominant worldview of our culture. We are constituted by several relations of otherness and they are established in several contexts. These encounters with others prevent the establishment of a complete and stable identity of self, which is also diverse and multiple |
| Portuguese abstract | Fundamento-me nos estudos de Mikhail M. Bakhtin para discorrer sobre sua concepção de sujeito e da relação de alteridade, passando também por obras de autores mais contemporâneos que discorrem sobre questões de identidade e alteridade a partir da filosofia bakhtiniana. Segundo uma perspectiva bakhtiniana, e atualmente ponziana e geraldiana, é o meio social tenso das relações, portanto o outro, que define e organiza quem sou. Nas relações sociais, por meio da linguagem, somos constantemente afetados pelos outros e, assim, estes tomam parte no processo de nossa formação humana. Para Bakhtin, as relações de alteridade participam dialogicamente de todas as instâncias da constituição do sujeito. A filosofia proposta por esse autor desloca o centro organizador das enunciações/ações individuais do horizonte do eu para o horizonte do outro, desestabilizando a visão de mundo dominante em nossa cultura. As relações alteritárias que nos constituem são diversas, e diversos são os contextos em que se estabelecem. Esses encontros com o outro impedem a instituição de uma identidade concluída e estável do eu, que não pode deixar de ser também diversa e múltipla |
