English abstract | The aim of this text is to discuss the relation between Physical Education, pedagogical directivity and the practice of freedom. For this, it was made a review of authors who wrote on Education and Physical Education and it was added an expe - rience report. The main point is that for an autonomous exer - cise of freedom it is necessary that the students learn it and be prepared to exert it. This process may become somewhat domi - neering and directive on the part of the teacher, otherwise they may be exposed to the difficulties of reductionism. However what is expected is not a directiveness in the lines of authoritari - anism or the traditional pedagogy but an educational line that awakens in the students the desire of learning. The conclusion is that a Physical Education devoted to student learning will help them to acquire greater autonomy in physical practices, or the possibilities of an emancipatory pedagogical practice will be - come limited |
