| English abstract | This article explores the relations between knowledge, illusion, and art based on Nietzsche’s first writings. In these writings, with emphasis to The birth of tragedy: on truth and lie in an extra-moral sense and other posthumously published texts, there is a double movement: one in which the constitution of the scientific knowledge’s negative image is linked to the thematization of the tragic art’s destruction; and another, when one testifies to the knowledge’s superficial character through the analysis of the refusal of a primitive impulse of knowledge. The discovery of the social and anthropological (selfish) conditions of that impulse leads to the thematization of Nietzsche’s cultural and civilizing theory, when one returns to the subject of art, because, as we shall to demonstrate, young Nietzsche’s reflections on knowledge are never restricted to a merely epistemological plan, reaching a more radical meaning in the critical connexion between knowledge, art and culture mediated by the notion of illusion |
| Portuguese abstract | Este artigo explora as relações entre conhecimento, ilusão e arte, tendo como referência os primeiros escritos de Nietzsche. Nesses textos, dentre os quais destacamos O nascimento da tragédia, verdade e mentira num sentido extra-moral e outros publicados apenas postumamente, segue um duplo movimento: aquele em que a constituição da imagem negativa do conhecimento científico vincula-se à tematização da destruição da arte trágica; o outro, em que se chega à constatação do caráter superficial do conhecimento por meio da análise da recusa de uma pulsão primitiva de conhecimento. A descoberta dos condicionantes sociais e antropológicos (egoístas) daquela pulsão conduz à tematização da teoria cultural e civilizatória de Nietzsche, momento em que se retorna ao tema da arte, pois, como pretendemos demonstrar, a reflexão do jovem Nietzsche sobre o conhecimento jamais permanece restrita ao plano meramente epistemológico, alcançando significado mais radical na conexão crítica que estabelece entre o conhecimento, a arte e a cultura, mediada pela noção de ilusão |
