| Spanish abstract | Registramos la presencia y anidación de la tórtola turca ( Streptopelia decaocto ) en el estado de San Luis Potosí, México. Nuestro primer registro fue en febrero de 2006, en el poblado de Tamuín, al este del estado. Los años siguientes registramos un incremento en la ya abundante tórtola turca en este lugar, así como nuevas observaciones en 28 poblados más . La anidación la documentamos en 2013 y 2015, registramos 16 nidos, construidos principalmente en cables de luz; ocho de ellos estaban siendo reutilizados |
| English abstract | We recorded the presence and nesting of the Eurasian Collared-Dove ( Streptopelia decaocto ) at the state of San Luis Potos í, México . Our first record of the species was obtained in February 2006 in the town of Tamuín, located in the eastern portion of the state. In the following years, we observed an increase in the abundance of the dove in this site, as well as new observations in other 28 towns. We documented nesting in 2013 and 2015, when we recorded 16 nests. Nests were mainly built on electrical wires, and eight nests were re-used |
