English abstract Mine activities may pose severe impacts in water resources and ecosystems when pyrite-rich materials are exposed to atmospheric conditions by mine activities and generate acid mine drainage (AMD) waters. One of the most efficient methods to improve water quality is adding alkaline substances like limestone. The buffering of the water will affect very much the adding amount. The prediction of the modelling is a difficult task, the study in similar areas serves a lot in new domain. Based on the titration experimental data of Plessa 111 mine lake, a titration model is performed using CORE20V4, and then the model is compared to that of PHREEQC. With miner change of the model, its used to simulated the buffering systema in the mine water of As Pontes mine pit
