| English abstract | Most of the articles and essays about D.H. Lawrence and his presence in Mexico have focused in the ideological, ethical, political, religious, and mythical features. Lawrence wrote in his novel La serpiente emplumada about the transformation of man in myth, but did it in an improbable way. This article faces the novel in a strictly literary point of view. It examines the problem of improbability, considering it the reason of Lawrence’s artistic failure |
