| Spanish abstract | La homosexualidad es un tema concerniente tanto al microsistema como al macrosistema, especialmente en lo referido a la religión donde continúa siendo controversial, modificando pensamientos, emociones y conductas; en razón de ello se realizó esta investigación cuyo objetivo fue analizar la relación entre las Distorsiones Cognitivas y la Comprensión Empática en los sacerdotes adscritos a la Diócesis de Maracay, estado Aragua hacia la homosexualidad. La metodología se basó en una investigación de campo, no experimental, descriptiva y correlacional, con corte transeccional y revisión bibliográfica. La población fue de 96 sacerdotes y la muestra, no probabilística e intencional, de 53 clérigos representando el 55,20% del universo total. Para la recolección de datos se aplicaron tres instrumentos de medición. Los resultados alcanzados mediante el Coeficiente de Correlación de Pearson rechazan la hipótesis de trabajo, concluyéndose que los sacerdotes estudiados presentan una cantidad importante de distorsiones cognitivas hacia la homosexualidad, asociadas al sistema de creencias de la religión Católica (Macrosistema), que influyen en la comprensión empática hacia el homosexual y viceversa, destacándose niveles sumamente bajos que afectan las relaciones diádicas con ellos (Microsistema) |
| English abstract | Homosexuality is a matter both the micro-system as to the macro-system, especially in relation to religion where it continues to be controversial, changing thoughts, emotions and behaviors. These reasons leaded us to undertake this investigation whose objective was to analyze the relationship between Cognitive Distortions and Empathic Comprehension towards homosexuality in the priests attached to the Diocese of Maracay, Aragua state. The methodology was based on a field, nonexperimental, descriptive and correlational investigation, with a transection cut and bibliographic review. The population was 96 priests and the sample, not probabilistic and intentional, of 53 clergy representing 55.20% of the total universe. For data collection three measurement instruments were applied. The results achieved through the Pearson Correlation Coefficient reject the work hypothesis, concluding that the priests studied present a significant amount of cognitive distortions towards homosexuality, associated with the system of beliefs of the Catholic religion (Macrosystem), which influence empathic understanding towards homosexuals and vice versa, highlighting very low levels that affect the diadic relationships with them (Microsystem) |
