| English abstract | The good performance observed in the laboratory of the ICLR is to be expected due to a laboratory equipped with the latest technology with dedicated and skilled professionals, combined with a team work and enforcement authorities in investigating cases, and referral of suspected criminals to the laboratory. This high success rate in the analysis must be enhanced through the continuation of courses of the team of crime scene throughout the state of Goias, whose function is to analyze, collect, store and send the samples to the laboratory, and the increase in the number of qualified professionals to perform the task of performing skills in the criminal. The laboratory staff needs to be constantly updated as new methodologies are emerging with the need to invest in training and the purchase of new equipment and reagents validated in the forensic field |
| Portuguese abstract | Bom desempenho observado no laboratório do ICLR se dá por ser um laboratório equipado com tecnologia de ponta, com profissionais dedicados e capacitados, aliado ao trabalho da equipe e autoridade policiais na investigação dos casos. No entanto, este alto índice de sucesso nas análises deve ser intensificado com a continuidade de cursos de aperfeiçoamento da equipe de peritos criminais de locais de crime em todo o estado de Goiás, pois metodologias novas vão surgindo, havendo tanto a necessidade de se investir no profissional como na compra de novos equipamentos e reagentes validados na área forense |
