| English abstract | Having translated the German text “Wiederholen, erinnern, durcharbeiten” (Repeating, remembering, revisiting), by Michael Kolnberger (Salzburg, Austria, 2008), into Portuguese, in the present article I first present some biographical data about Igor Alexander Caruso (1914-1981), listing some of his most important works. After that, I point out a number of linguistic facts which may assist in the process of interpreting the psychoanalytic text. The aim is both shortly revisiting the personal and professional trajectory of the psychoanalyst Caruso and briefly pointing out specific language resources which may be decisive as instruments for the analyses of patients’ reports |
| Portuguese abstract | A partir da tradução do alemão do texto: Wiederholen, erinnern, durcharbeiten (Repetir, relembrar, revisitar), de Michael Kolnberger (Salzburg, Áustria, 2008), por mim realizada, trato neste artigo primeiramente da apresentação de alguns dados biográficos de Igor Alexander Caruso (1914-1981), mencionando algumas obras de sua autoria; após, evidencio alguns fatos de linguagem, os quais podem se configurar como auxiliares no processo de interpretação do texto psicanalítico. O objetivo é tanto revisitar en passant a trajetória pessoal e profissional do psicanalista Caruso, quanto indicar brevemente recursos de linguagem específicos como instrumentos através dos quais os psicanalistas procedem às análises dos relatos de seus pacientes |
