| Spanish abstract | Partiendo del cruce que se produce entre la tendencia autoescritural de las mujeres venezolanas en la primera mitad del siglo XX y el gesto de refundación nacional manifiesto en el discurso regionalista que alcanza su apogeo en la década de los treinta, se propone una lectura de la novela El Vargueño (1932), de Luisa Martínez López Méndez. en esta aproximación se pretende asir el diálogo representaciónautorrepresentación que se produce en esta escritura y que deja como resultado una subjetividad por demás disonante dentro del campo intelectual de la Venezuela gomecista: la mujer narradora |
| English abstract | Stemming from the intersection of two elements: the tendency to self-writing that characterized the Venezuelan female writers of the first half of the twentieth century and the nation’s re-foundation needs that defined the regionalist literary discourse, which reached its peak in the thirties, we propose an interpretation of el Vargueño (1932), by Luisa Martínez López Méndez. on this approach to the novel we will discuss the dialogue between representation and selfrepresentation designed in this novel, resulting in the female narrator’s subjectivity, very dissonant to the intellectual field of juan Vicente Gómez’s Venezuela |
