English abstract | This investigation is an analysis within the framework of the queer theory of international relations on federal executive actions related to sexual diversity in Mexico. It postulates that the particular ways of understanding who is the “homosexual” became a double agenda between what is preached on an international level and what is done in the local sphere. It concludes that Mexico built a figuration of the “normal homosexual” through its queer diplomacy, which was incompatible with the diversity of the country’s lgbt community |
