| English abstract | This article examines the life and Works of a person who experienced the transition from the XIX to the XXth Century, and period of great social effervescence in Valparaiso. Therefore, Ramón Angel Jara, designated by the Archbishop of Santiago as the Ecclesiastical Administrator of this province, made use of all his efforts in order to organize the working class into a great self-help community, which he managed to do because of his clear vision of the reality of the working class and his social sensibility |
