| Spanish abstract | Este artículo reflexiona en torno a la propuesta teórico-metodológica de una investigación cuyo objetivo fue analizar e interpretar informes de gobierno pronunciados por ocho presidentes entre los años de 1917 a 1946, decisivos en la conformación de un sistema hegemónico en México. Se presta especial atención a los criterios de construcción, clasificación, procesamiento e interpretación del corpus, así como a presentar algunos de los lineamientos que guiaron el análisis sintáctico. A lo largo del trabajo, se demuestra cómo el análisis de discurso no sólo permitió responder las interrogantes planteadas al inicio de la investigación, sino que arrojó datos sorprendentes que validaban y hacían provechosa la experiencia de ahondar en el conocimiento histórico por medio de esta metodología interdisciplinaria |
| English abstract | This article is a reflection on the theoretical-methodological framework proposed for a research project designed to analyze and interpret annual presidential addresses delivered by eight presidents between 1917 and 1946, which played a decisive role in shaping a hegemonic system in Mexico. We pay particular attention to the criteria for the construction, classification, processing and interpretation of the corpus, as well as presenting some of the guidelines applied to the syntactic analysis. Throughout these pages we show how discourse analysis not only allowed us to find answers to the questions posed at the beginning of the research project, but also brought to light some surprising data which underlined the validity and fruitfulness of this interdisciplinary methodology for deepening our knowledge of history |
