| English abstract | The Figueiredo Report and the National Truth Commission Report produce new perspectives concerning the writing of indigenous history during the dictatorial regime in Brazil,a time about which information was still scarce in the near past.The disclosure of the documents brings with it stories of atrocities brought about by the action of the guardianship agents, facts that allow us to rediscover the ethnocide and the genocide of indigenous group. Many of such crimeshave failed to be reported, which is why we bring to light the case of mr.Uwet Palikur/Arukwayene, as it is emblematic of the excesses committed by the officials of the Indian Protection Service, whom,probably for the action having taken place in the Amazon, remained unpublished |
| Portuguese abstract | O Relatório Figueiredo (RF) e o Relatório da Comissão Nacional da Verdade (CNV) produzem novas perspectivas relativas à escrita da história indígena durante o regime ditatorial, período sobre o qual, num passado próximo, pouco era conhecido. A divulgação dos documentos traz consigo histórias de atrocidades provocadas pela ação dos agentes tutelares, fatos que nos permitem rediscutir o etnocídio e o genocídio de coletividades indígenas. Muitos destes fogem à pena dos relatores, razão pela qual se traz a lume o caso do sr. Uwet Palikur/Arukwayene, emblemático pelos excessos cometidos pelos funcionários do Serviço de Proteção aos Índios, que, provavelmente por ter ocorrido na Amazônia, permaneceu inédito |
