| Spanish abstract | Uno de los rostros más duros de la pobreza y la desigualdad es sin lugar a dudas la muerte de un menor, sin embargo, las relaciones y los mecanismos a través de los cuales los niveles observados de pobreza configuran y determinan las defunciones de menores no han sido aun correctamente identificados y cuantificados. En este sentido, el trabajo tiene por objetivo analizar la asociación entre la mortalidad infantil estimada y la pobreza alimentaria reportada por CONEVAL para los municipios de Chiapas en los tres momentos para los que se cuenta con información sobre pobreza municipal, a saber, los años 1990, 2000 y 2010 |
| English abstract | One of the hardest aspects of poverty and inequality is undoubtedly the death of a child, however, the relationships and mechanisms through which poverty levels observed configure and determine infant’s deaths have not yet been properly identified and quantified. In this way, this paper aims to analyze relationship between infant mortality and estimated food poverty, reported by CONEVAL for Chiapas municipalities at the three years in which there is information availability of municipal poverty, namely 1990, 2000 and 2010 |
