| Spanish abstract | En este artículo, reconstruyo una polémica desconocida entre Gilberto Owen, Jorge Eliécer Gaitán y Germán Arciniegas en las páginas de El Tiempo hacia septiembre-octubre de 1935. Ofrezco, para ello, los pormenores a partir de la lectura minuciosa del periódico mencionado, así como los testimonios publicados in extenso, con el fin de que los lectores tengan una visión completa del incidente. Finalmente, considero que la polémica lleva a descubrir una cualidad de los Contemporáneos, en general, y de Gilberto Owen, en particular: el poligrafismo |
| English abstract | In this article I reconstruct the unknown controversy between Gilberto Owen, Jorge Eliécer Gaitán and Germán Arciniegas in the pages of El Tiempo from September to October 1935. For this purpose I offer the details starting from a meticulous reading of the abovementioned newspaper along with the complete published testimonies with the purpose of providing the readers with a complete view of the incident. Finally, I consider that the controversy leads us to discover the attribute of polygraphism of the Contemporáneos in general and of Gilberto Owen in particular |
