| Spanish abstract | En este trabajo se estudia el motivo del jardín en La Huerta de Juan Fernández, del célebre Tirso de Molina. Este motivo, que aparece con frecuencia en el teatro áureo, aquí se analiza desde el espacio dramático y el espacio espectacular con la intención de ofrecer una visión más completa del hecho teatral; de esta manera, se muestra el jardín no sólo como un recurso simbólico en la obra tirsiana, también se indica cómo se representaba y cuál era su función en el tablado. Asimismo, se señalan otros temas y recursos del Siglo de Oro que confluyen en esta comedia y contribuyen en la caracterización de dicho espacio, un lugar de galanteos y enredos para los personajes |
| English abstract | In this work we study the garden motif in La Huerta de Juan Fernández by the great Tirso de Molina. This motif, which frequently appears in Golden Age Theater, is analyzed here from dramatic space and spectacular space with the intention of offering a more complete look at theatrical event. In this way, we show the garden not only as a symbolic resource in Tirso de Molina’s work, but we also indicate how it was represented and what was its function on the stage. We also point out other themes and tools of the Golden Age that come together in this comedy and contribute to the characterization of the abovementioned space which is a place for the courting and intrigues of the characters |
