| Spanish abstract | Es relevante denotar que el 19 de marzo 2007, fue publicada en Gaceta OficialNº 38.647 la Ley Orgánica sobre el Derecho de las Mujeres a una Vida Libre de Violencia, cuyo capítulo III contempla, en el artículo 15, la Violencia Obstétrica. Rastrearemos la construcción histórica del discurso médico-obstétrico para entender el trato que reciben las mujeres en los centros públicos. Los procesos reproductivos femeninos no son sólo naturales, están indefectiblemente atravesados por la socio-cultura. Por ello, la experiencia reproductiva femenina pasa a ser un acto sanitario-hospitalario, aislado, homogéneo para todas las mujeres; el personal de salud controla y decide, quedando privilegiada la tecnología y medicalización |
| English abstract | Doctor-obstetric discursive construction of the women’s reproductive process. It is important to denote that the March 19 2007, it was published in the Government Gazette Nº 38,647 the constitutional Law of Women’s Right to a Free Life out of Violence, which in its Third Chapter, considers in the 15th Article: the «Obstetric violence». We will track the historic reasons of the doctor-obstetric discursive construction, to understand the treatment that women receive in those public centers. The female reproductive processes, they are not only natural, are unfailingly crossed by social culture. For that reason, the female reproductive experience, becoming a homogeneous, remote, sanitary-medical act for all women, where the health personnel are the one who control and decide, remaining the privileged use of technology and medicalization |
