| English abstract | The aim of this paper is to debate the religious approach in schools and report the process of construction, execution and the results of the first “Roda de Conversa” (Dialogue Circle) with a set of themes Religion, Diversity, Tolerance and Secularism: Education for Citizenship, which took place in the School Dom Climério de Almeida Andrade. Discussing religion in the school space is essential to overcome intolerance and disrespect towards others and with this objective the school promoted an opportunity for learning and reflection and the Geography subproject of the Institutional Program of Scholarships for Teaching Initiation – PIBID - has supported this activity. The following methodological procedures have been adopted: invitation to religious representatives of different doctrines as well as use of questionnaires, interviews, photographs, and theoretical discussions to sustain this investigation about the PIBID, the ethnographic research and the religious education in the public schools in Brazil, discussed by Oliveira et al (2015), Silva (2004), Stigar (2010) and Tezani (2004). In this context, the dialogue circle has achieved the goal of showing to students the perspective that tolerance and respect can exist at the same time and space and propose the debate of current religious issues faced by the students |
| Portuguese abstract | O objetivo do artigo é discutir a abordagem religiosa na escola e relatar como foi o processo de construção, execução e os resultados da primeira Roda de Conversa com a temática Religião, Diversidade, Tolerância e Laicidade: Educação para a Cidadania realizada no Colégio Estadual Dom Climério de Almeida Andrade. Discutir a religião no espaço escolar é fundamental para romper com a intolerância e o desrespeito com o diferente e foi com esse intuito que a escola promoveu um momento de aprendizado e reflexão e o subprojeto de Geografia do Programa Institucional de Bolsa de Iniciação à Docência – PIBID apoiou essa atividade. Foram adotados alguns procedimentos metodológicos: Convite aos representantes religiosos de diferentes doutrinas, elaboração e aplicação de questionários e entrevistas, fotografias e a discussão teórica para sustentar essa investigação, sobre o PIBID, a pesquisa etnográfica e o ensino religioso nas escolas públicas no Brasil, abordados por: Oliveira et al (2015), Silva (2004), Stigar (2010) e Tezani (2004). Nesse contexto, a roda de conversa cumpriu com seu objetivo de mostrar aos alunos, uma visão da possibilidade da tolerância e do respeito num mesmo momento e espaço e propor o debate das questões religiosas atuais presente nos cotidianos dos estudantes |
