| English abstract | This paper has as main discussion the Environmental Education (EE). It is an analytical and critical text based on Carvalho‟s (2012), Layrargues‟ (2012) and Reigota‟s (2012) works. The general goal is to inform everybody on the importance of the EE to th e education of the ecological citizenship about the current need of a conscious intervention and changes of postures, attitudes and values related to the environment; and also, it raises the discussion concerning the EE as an important tool and required fo r the ethical formation and the ecological citizen education. The recent natural events that have affected the human life, causing them great impact, have led to a moment of thinking about the human actions on the environment, the natural resources and its use. Preserve, conserve and keep life are no longer enough. It is necessary an urgent transformation in the way to see and shelter life itself in order to find a balance, which will promote a harmonious coexistence among the human beings and all other liv ing beings and not living on the planet. It is expected to contribute in a way to expand the human perspective and promote changes on the established paradigms between man and nature |
| Portuguese abstract | O presente trabalho tem como discussão central a Educação Ambiental (EA). É um texto analítico e crítico fundamentado em torno das obras de Carvalho (2012), Layrargues (2012) e Reigota (2012) . Tem como objetivo geral levar ao conhecimento de todos a relevância da E A para a formação da cidadania ecológica acerca da necessidade atual de uma intervenção consciente e mudanças de posturas , atitudes e valores em relação ao meio ambiente ; levantando, ainda, discussão a respeito da E A como instrumento importante e necessário para a formação ética e para a formação do sujeito ecológico . Os recentes acontecimentos naturais que têm afetado a vida humana , causando - lhe grande impacto , têm levado a um momento de reflexão das ações humanas sobre o meio ambiente, os recursos naturais e sua utilização. Já não basta prese rvar, conservar e manter a vida. F az - se necessária a urgente transformação na maneira de ver e acolher a vida em si para que ela encontre um equilíbrio que promova uma conv ivência harmônica entre os seres humanos e todos os demais sere s de vida e não vida no planeta . Espera - se poder contribuir de maneira a ampliar a visão humana e promover mudança s nos paradigmas estabe lecidos entre homem e natureza |
