| Spanish abstract | La pervivencia de lo grotesco en el Arte, hace necesario un estudio sobre los distintos significados que este término ha ido adquiriendo a lo largo de su uso por parte de los artistas, como vocablo que designa a una situación o a un individuo que se alejan de lo cotidiano. Su presencia en las artes visuales, subraya la necesidad de establecer un marco, en el que se recojan aquellos significados que han hecho de este término algo polisémico relacionado con lo cómico, la transgresión y también con la crítica. Para ello, relacionaremos la obra de distintos artistas de la Historia del Arte, con las consideraciones que sobre lo grotesco han llevado a cabo Wolfgang Kayser y Mijail Bajtin, así como las ideas de Sigmund Freud en torno a lo siniestro y de José Miguel García Cortés sobre lo monstruoso |
| English abstract | The presence of the grotesque in Art, makes neccesary a research about the different meanings of this word through its use by artists, as a term which is used to refer to an extraordinary individual or situation. Its presence in visual arts, underlines the neccesity of setting up a frame to include those meanings that make this term a polysemous one related with comedy, transgression and criticism. Therefore we are going to link some artists work, with the considerations about the grotesque made by Wolfgang Kayser and Mijail Bajtin, Sigmund Freud´s ideas about the uncanny and Jose Miguel García Cortés´ considerations about monstruosity |
