| Spanish abstract | La globalización y la sociedad de la información tienen consecuencias éticas innegables. Abordar el problema de la incidencia que tienen algunos aspectos de la globalización sobre los valores, nos ayudará a comprender que el mundo actual no puede ignorar los conflictos éticos y morales que viven los individuos, las sociedades y los pueblos. Haciendo un breve recorrido sobre lo que significa la “permanencia y la promoción” del valor, se puede hacer una comparación con un mundo que produce “valores efímeros” a través de una sobrevaloración del consumismo y del individualismo como ideales del hombre. Estos y otros elementos atentan contra los sistemas axiológicos que cohesionan la sociedad y las culturas. Nos hacemos entonces, las siguientes preguntas: ¿cómo debemos transmitir los valores hoy? ¿Cómo hacer frente hoy a la omnipresencia del relativismo axiológico, del individualismo, de la confusión entre valores y creencias? |
| English abstract | Globalization and the society of information have undeniable ethical consequences. By tackling the problem of the incidence that some aspects of globalization has over values, will help us understand that the current world cannot ignore the ethical and moral conflicts individuals, societies, and peoples are going through. By making a brief overview about what the concept of “permanence and promotion” of value means, it is possible to make a comparison with a world that produces “ephemeral values” through an overvaluation of consumerism and individualism as ideals of man. These and other elements threaten the axiological systems which unite the society and cultures. We ask ourselves the following questions: How must we transmit the values today? How can we face today the omnipresence of the axiological relativism, of the individualism, of confusion between values and beliefs? |
