| English abstract | The process of constitution of a specific academic space of the area of Sciences of Education in Portugal is related to the effervescence of scientific education in other countries in the nineteenth century, caused by the relationship between industrialization and universalization of education, as well as the demands themselves and national struggles in education in the next century. Therefore, the objective of this space constitutes a complex exercise of reflexivity, in which the Portuguese context should be taken as a sui generis expression that makes it possible, through its specificities, to understand broader dynamics of the scientific field and higher education of this country. This is the scenario of the interview with the retired professor of the Institute of Education (IE) of the University of Lisbon (UL), Maria Teresa Estrela. It is based on the academic position of the professor - one of the pioneering female scientists in the autonomization of Education Sciences in Portugal, with decades of experience in UL since the end of the dictatorship in 1974 - to promote a dialogue between her formative and professional trajectory and the own development of the space of Sciences of Education in the portuguese academic scene |
| Portuguese abstract | O processo de constituição de um espaço acadêmico específico da área das Ciências da Educação em Portugal relaciona-se com a efervescência da cientifização da pedagogia em outros países no século XIX, acarretada pela relação entre industrialização e universalização da educação, bem como com as próprias demandas e lutas nacionais no âmbito educacional no século seguinte. Objetivar, pois, este espaço constitui um exercício complexo de reflexividade, no qual o contexto português deve ser tomado como expressão sui generis que possibilita, por meio de suas especificidades, entender dinâmicas mais amplas do campo científico e do ensino superior desse país. Esse é o cenário desta entrevista com a professora catedrática jubilada do Instituto de Educação (IE) da Universidade de Lisboa (UL) Maria Teresa Estrela. Parte-se da posição acadêmica da professora - uma das cientistas mulheres pioneiras na autonomização das Ciências da Educação em Portugal, com décadas de atuação na UL desde o fim da ditadura em 1974 - para promover um diálogo entre a sua trajetória formativa e profissional e o próprio desenvolvimento do espaço das Ciências da Educação no cenário acadêmico português |
