| English abstract | The present paper focuses on the figure of Paulo Freire one hundred years after his birth. It aims at emphasizing how nowadays it is important to read Freire to understand and decode the present and to bring to light the forms of oppression that are still present in contemporary world. This contribution also highlights the relationship between education and politics in Freire’s philosophy and his prophetic commitment related to issues of intercultural education |
