| English abstract | This study, based on French discursive theory, and taking as corpus Clarice Lispector’s texts, it carries out a reflection about the symbolic violence in gender relations, with focus on power established on /by discourse. The male discourse, having the policy of silence as a tool, determines the place of woman in social formations and, consequently, also her discourse, setting some senses and thereby silencing other unwanted. However, the silence plays not only on the side of oppression, but also in the resistance, constituting in a form of dribbling the power and producing senses in other symbolic places |
| Portuguese abstract | Este estudo, pautado na teoria discursiva francesa, e tomando como corpus textos de Clarice Lispector, empreende uma reflexão sobre a violência simbólica nas relações de gênero, com foco no poder instituído no/pelo discurso. O discurso masculino, tendo a política do silêncio como instrumento, determina o lugar da mulher nas formações sociais e, consequentemente, também seu discurso, fixando-lhe alguns sentidos e silenciando outros não desejados. No entanto, o silêncio joga não só do lado da opressão, mas também do lado da resistência, constituindo-se numa forma de driblar o poder e produzir sentidos em outros lugares simbólicos |
