| English abstract | The literary writing of several Latin-American writers has been deeply marked by their intercultural experience. Since the first moments of conquest and colonization, the oral language of native peoples was overcome by the European writing, imposed on them and used as a an instrument of power instead of communication. Latin-American writers like José María Arguedas, Miguel Ángel Asturías, Roa Bastos, among others, through transculturation processes, were successful in creating a way of recovering oral language and, with it, cosmogonies that had been marginalized by the dominant segments of Latin-American societies |
| Portuguese abstract | A escrita literária de vários autores latino-americanos se apresenta marcada profundamente pela sua vivencia intercultural. Desde os primeiros momentos da Conquista e Colonização, a oralidade dos povos autóctones foi subjugada pela escrita européia imposta e usada como um instrumento de poder e não de comunicação. Escritores latino-americanos como José María Arguedas, Miguel Ángel Asturías, Roa Bastos, entre outros, através de processos transculturadores, conseguiram criar uma maneira de resgatar a oralidade e, com ela, cosmogonias que se encontravam relegadas à marginalidade pelos segmentos dominantes das sociedades da América Latina |
