| English abstract | In this article I will discuss the presence of features found in the grotesque fiction of Clarice Lispector (1920-1977), taking, as a starting point, the short-story "The Body", from the collection The stations of the body, published in 1974. The instrumentation lies on theoretical studies of Wolfgang Kayser and Mikhail Bakhtin about the category of the grotesque. The analysis is complemented with notes by Vladimir Propp (among others) about the comicity emphasized in the physical nature of man. Moreover, the research focuses on prominent voices of Clarice Lispector’s criticism which support the analysis I have developed herein |
| Portuguese abstract | Neste artigo, discutiremos a presença de aspectos grotescos presentes na ficção de Clarice Lispector (1920-1977), tomando como ponto de partida o conto “O corpo”, pertencente à coletânea A via crucis do corpo, publicada em 1974. A instrumentalização teórica conta com os estudos de Wolfgang Kayser e Mikhail Bakhtin acerca da categoria do grotesco. A análise complementa-se com os apontamentos de Vladímir Propp, entre outros a respeito da comicidade ressaltada na natureza física do homem. Além disso, a pesquisa recorre a vozes importantes da crítica de Clarice Lispector, as quais iluminarão o caminho de análise aqui percorrido |
