| English abstract | In this work, it intends to introduce a reflection about the course of the teaching of Portuguese language developed in the Brazilian class rooms, as well as to indicate some of the contributions that the Theory of Variation (LABOV, 1966, 1972) can offers to the teaching. Besides, some of the strategies are enumerated to work the linguistic variation in the class room, especially, of the Elementary School. In this sense, that work is anchored in the theoretical-methodological beginnings of the studies sociolinguistics of laboviana orientation. The work methodology adopted is of bibliographical base and of interpretative and descriptive character. To accomplish the study, are consulted the works of Gregolin (2007), Faraco (2007), Moura (2007). The first analyses indicate that it is possible the accomplishment of a theoretical and practical articulation between the Theory of the Variation and the teaching, mainly, when allows to the student the knowledge concerning the linguistic varieties that exist in a community of the speech |
| Portuguese abstract | Neste trabalho, pretende-se apresentar uma reflexão acerca do percurso do ensino de língua portuguesa desenvolvido nas salas de aula brasileiras, bem como indicar algumas das contribuições que a Teoria da Variação (LABOV, 1966, 1972) pode oferece ao ensino. Além disso, enumeram-se algumas das estratégias para se trabalhar a variação linguística na sala de aula, sobretudo, do Ensino Fundamental. Neste sentido, esse trabalho está ancorado nos princípios teórico-metodológicos dos estudos sociolinguísticos de orientação laboviana. A metodologia de trabalho adotada é de base bibliográfica e de caráter interpretativo e descritivo. Para realizar o estudo, são consultados os trabalhos de Gregolin (2007), Faraco (2007), Moura (2007). As primeiras análises indicam que é possível a realização de uma articulação teórica e prática entre a Teoria da Variação e o ensino, principalmente, ao possibilitar ao aluno o conhecimento acerca das variedades linguísticas existentes em uma comunidade de fala |
