| Spanish abstract | La presente investigación tiene como objetivo analizar si existe correlación entre el Bullying y la satisfacción corporal, variables de gran interés y relevancia para los educadores. Esto se aborda desde un enfoque cuantitativo, mediante una investigación con estudiantes de una escuela primaria urbana de quinto y sexto grado, a los que se les aplican dos instrumentos: el Cuestionario para la Exploración del Bullying y el Test de satisfacción con la imagen corporal. Los resultados se procesaron estadísticamente mediante el índice de correlación de Pearson. Se encontró que la percepción de los estudiantes es que casi nunca participan en situaciones de bullying y exponen una alta satisfacción con la imagen corporal, además, no se encontró relación estadísticamente significativa entre las variables. El estudio muestra que la imagen corporal que un individuo tiene de sí mismo no depende de su complexión física sino de cómo se percibe a sí mismo; además, sobresale que el autorreconocimiento como participante en el bullying, como víctima o agresor, representa un riesgo para la estabilidad emocional del sujeto. |
| English abstract | This research analyze the correlation between bullying and body satisfaction, variables of great interest and relevance for educators. This is a quantitative research, with students from an urban primary school of fifth and sixth grade, and two instruments were applied: the Bullying Exploration Questionnaire and the Body Image Satisfaction Test. The results were statistically processed using the Pearson correlation index. It was found that the perception of the students is that they almost never participate in bullying situations and expose a high satisfaction with the body image, in addition, no statistically significant relationship was found between the variables. The study shows that body image that individuals have of themselves does not depend on their physical complexion but on how they perceive themselves; furthermore, it stands out that self-recognition as a participant in bullying, as a victim or aggressor, represents a risk for the emotional stability. |
