| English abstract | The article Four Things I Learned with Alain Pessin draws on the work of Alain Pessin to investigate how a social movement and the thinking underlying it can be conceived as sets of situated actions. The text discusses how Pessin, studying utopian and anarchistic movements from the late 19th and early 20th centuries and articulating the concept of the “imaginary”, sketches a model similar to that of the “art world”, as proposed by the author of this article. Four statements fundamental to Pessin’s thinking and relative to this and other areas of sociology are presented |
| Portuguese abstract | Neste artigo, analisa-se, a partir do trabalho de Alain Pessin, como um movimento social e o substrato de pensamento que o sustenta podem ser pensados como conjuntos de ações situadas. Ao discutir a maneira como Pessin, estudando movimentos utópicos e anarquistas do final do século XIX e do início do XX, e articulando o conceito de "imaginário", desenha um modelo semelhante ao de "mundo da arte", proposto pelo autor deste artigo, o texto apresenta quatro afirmativas centrais do pensamento de Pessin que servem para esse campo e para outras áreas da sociologia |
