| Spanish abstract | Como objeto cultural, el traje de tehuana ejerce agencia y representa significados no solo en quiénes lo visten, sino quienes lo interpretan. En el ejercicio artístico de La Bruja de Texcoco existe una oportunidad de visibilizar discursos disruptivos sobre el género y la identidad nacional. | English abstract | The tehuana dress, as a cultural object, has agency and represents meanings not only in those who wear it, but also in those who interpret it. In the artistic presenta-tion of “La Bruja de Texcoco”, there is an opportunity to make visible some disruptive discourses on gender and national identity. The purposes of this work are to present that objects are complex, and they resignify themselves according to who puts them in action; as well as looking the binary gender and national identity systems in a criti-cal way, through the activation of the tehuana dress in the artistic presentation of “La Bruja de Texcoco |
