English abstract The idea of trauma, coming from the medical discourse, is central to the construction of the thought of Freud and the theory and practice of psychoanalysis. Trauma is a barrier that puts distance with respect to a time that is earlier to it and which is reconstructed after it. That earlier time is the object of reconstruction of memory and the chances are that it never existed. However, the subject yearns for it. That’s nostalgia, a condition which was considered to be a disease between the seventeenth century and the end of the nineteenth century; in the twentieth century, it was forgotten and even despised; and today, it reappears in the clinical depression and disorders, often serious, of those who are forced into exile. This is another pole of traumatic memory
