| Spanish abstract | Mediante la Ley 67 de 1988, la cual fue aprobada por el congreso de la Republica de Colombia el 31 de enero de 1989, Colombia se adscrib al Tratado Antártico siendo miembro adherente. Esto se convierte en uno de los objetivos del Gobierno Nacional ser parte consultiva del tratado. Para llegar a ser miembro consultivo es importante demostrar la realización investigaciones científicas importantes en la región y la construcción de una base antártica. Para ello el gobierno nacional, a través de la Comisión Colombiana del Océano, diseñaron en el año 2014 la Agenda Científica Antártica de Colombia 2014-2035, y en el año 2015 el Programa Antártico Colombiano. Es por ello que el presente artículo realiza un estudio de las diferentes bases antárticas en servicio presentando un modelo de regresión lineal múltiple, cuyo coeficiente de determinación supera el 80% de representación de variabilidad. Lo anterior con el objetivo de permitir el dimensionamiento inicial de la futura base antártica colombiana aportando así al cumplimiento de los objetivos de la nación en tópicos antárticos |
| English abstract | Through Law 67 of 1988, which was approved by the Congress of the Republic of Colombia on January 31, 1989, Colombia adheres to the Antarctic Treaty as an adherent member. This becomes one of the objectives of the national government to be a consultative part of the treaty. To become a consultant it is important to demonstrate the realization of important cientific research in the region and the construction of an Antarctic base. For this, the national government, through the Colombian Ocean Commission, designed in 2014 the Antarctic Scientific Agenda of Colombia 2014-2035, and in 2015 the Colombian Antarctic Program. That is why this article makes a study of the different Antarctic bases in service presenting multiple linear regression model, whose coefficient of determination exceeds 80% of variability representation. The above with the objective of allowing the initial dimensioning of the future Colombian Antarctic base, thus contributing to the fulfillment of the nation’s objectives in Antarctic topics |
