| Spanish abstract | En este artículo abordamos distintos aspectos de la cirugía micrográfica de Mohs, su origen, fundamentos en los que se sustenta y las potenciales indicaciones de esta técnica quirúrgica de vanguardia que ha marcado un antes y un después en el tratamiento del cáncer de piel, ya que ha puesto al dermatólogo en un nivel no sólo de diagnosticador de tumores, sino en el de médico tratante del cáncer de piel. | English abstract | We discuss about different aspects of Mohs micrographic surgery including its fundamentals and current indications. Highly specialized technique marked a before and after in the treatment of skin cancer. Dermatologists to a point in which they play a role not only as diagnosticians of skin cancer but also as physicians.
