| English abstract | The constitution of the childlike cultures in the 20th Century is strictly related to the context of the media. Such aspect originated the interest to investigate the narratives of the children in the Doctoral thesis. The study was based in the Latin American Cultural Studies that understand “cultural” in the hybrid perspective (Canclini, 2003), arising in the speeches of the children being researched. The investigation of the narratives happened in two schools (one public and one private), in Cultural Center and a Blog. As procedures of data collecting, the following strategies were chosen: (1) workshops that happened in the space of Cultural Center and in the schools and (2) interviews made, from the narrative productions, with the children of these groups and with the children of the Blog. The findings of the research aim for the complexity of the narrative field in the contemporary, show the frequent relation of the children with the image and bring the challenges that come from this context |
| Portuguese abstract | A constituição das culturas infantis no século XX está estreitamente relacionada ao contexto midiático. Tal aspecto originou o interesse por investigar as narrativas das crianças na tese de Doutorado. O estudo foi fundamentado nos Estudos Culturais Latino-Americanos que entendem o “cultural” na perspectiva da hibridação (Canclini, 2003) surgindo nas falas das próprias crianças pesquisadas. A investigação das narrativas ocorreu em duas escolas (uma pública e uma particular), num Centro cultural e num Blog. Como procedimentos da coleta de dados optou-se pelas seguintes estratégias: (1) oficinas que aconteceram no espaço do Centro cultural e nas escolas e (2) entrevistas realizadas com as crianças desses grupos e com as crianças do Blog a partir das produções narrativas. Os achados da pesquisa apontam para a complexidade do campo das narrativas na contemporaneidade, mostram a freqüente relação das crianças com a imagem e trazem os desafios advindos desse contexto |
