| Spanish abstract | En este artículo se explora la interpretación que realizó el director egipcio Daoud Abdel Sayyed en su cinta Kit Kat de la novela Malik Al-Hazin, de su compatriota Ibrahim Aslan. La investigación se concentra en los desafíos que presenta la adaptación del personaje invidente de la novela al cine. De este modo, el análisis revela la decisión del cineasta de suprimir la actitud poscolonial activa en el texto literario; además, reflexiona sobre la tensión teórica que genera esta elección en la estética de la recepción del lector-espectador |
| English abstract | This article explores the interpretation realised by the Egyptian director Daoud Abdel Sayyed in his film Kit Kat of the novel Malik Al-Hazin, written by his compatriot Ibrahim Aslan. The research concentrates on thechallenges presented by the adaptation to film of the blind character of the novel. In this way, the analysis reveals the decision of the director to supress the active post-colonial attitude of the literary text and also reflects on the theoretical tension generated by this choice in the aesthetic of the reception of reader-spectator |
