| English abstract | The present study deals with the role of pre-Socratic philosophy in the appearing of inner life, which a very approached theme in Greek lyric poetry of VI b.C, mainly by Sappho of Lesbos. While in Homer we had some very impersonal form of art without psychology, in Greek lyric poetry we have questions that deal with inner feelings. However, this reflections were possible because the existence of the presocratic philosophy which was born almost at the same as greek lyric poetry. This philosophy proposed a new interpretation to the question about nature and a new notion about about the world in general and the myths. This new interpretation reach also the practice of literary art, put its influences in it. In our reflections about the contribution of presocratic philosophy, we don’t emphasize this or that philosopher, but the thought of the philosophy as a whole. The present study is based on the reflection established by Jean-Pierre Vernant (1986), Gerd Borheim (1999), Bruno Snell (1992) and in some bibliography concerned to the theme direct or indirectly |
| Portuguese abstract | O presente estudo discorre sobre a importância da filosofia pré-socrática no surgimento da vida interior, tema bastante explorado na poesia lírica da Grécia do séc. VI a.C., em maior grau pela poetisa Safo de Lesbos. Enquanto que em Homero tínhamos a arte literária impessoal e destituída de profundidade psicológica, na poesia lírica temos o levantamento de questões do íntimo humano. Entretanto, tais reflexões foram possíveis tendo em vista o advento da filosofia pré-socrática. Surgida quase ao mesmo tempo que a lírica, esta filosofia propôs uma outra interpretação para as questões da natureza, proporcionando uma nova leitura sobre o mundo e sobre os mitos. Tal releitura também alcançou a arte literária, influenciando-a. Em nossas reflexões sobre a contribuição da filosofia pré-socrática à poesia lírica, não nos restringimos a este ou aquele pensador, mas sim à filosofia de um modo geral. O presente estudo se ampara nos pressupostos teóricos estabelecidos por Jean-Pierre Vernant (1986), Gerd Borheim (1999), Bruno Snell (1992) e em variada bibliografia que direta ou indiretamente está relacionada ao tema em apreço |
