| Spanish abstract | Este estudio es un intento de aproximación a los hábitos y prácticas culturales entre grupos de estu-diantes universitarios adscriptos a la Universidad de Cuenca, la Universidad del Azuay y la Universidad Nacional de Educación de Ecuador. Este trabajo for-ma parte un proyecto de investigación más amplio que tiene como finalidad explorar sobre el soporte cognitivo del alumnado en aspectos esenciales de la asignatura, en el momento inicial del semestre y su constatación a la finalización, al tiempo que des-cubrir sus hábitos y prácticas educativo-culturales. Esta propuesta no es concebida desde una concep-ción cuantitativa sino como una experiencia docente que pretende utilizar las manifestaciones culturales como estrategia en el proceso de enseñanza-apren-dizaje. Para alcanzar ese objetivo se ha elaborado un instrumento articulado en dos módulos de con-tenidos: uno identificativo dedicado a determinadas características sociodemográficas del alumnado y otro centrado en el estudio de los hábitos y prácticas culturales. Los resultados obtenidos en esta investi-gación muestran, en líneas generales, la existencia de un incremento en determinados hábitos y prác-ticas culturales y ponen en evidencia explícitas de-bilidades en esta población universitaria analizada |
| English abstract | This study is an attempt to approach the cultural habits and practices of three groups of university students attached to the University of Cuenca, the University of Azuay and the National University of Education of Ecuador. This work is part of a broader research project that aims to explore the cognitive support of students in essential aspects of the sub-ject, at the beginning of the semester and its verifi-cation at the end, while discovering their habits and educational cultural practices. This proposal is not conceived from a quantitative conception but as a teaching experience that aims to use cultural ma-nifestations as a strategy in the teaching-learning process. In order to achieve this goal, an instrument has been elaborated in two modules of contents: an identification one dedicated to certain sociodemo-graphic characteristics of the students and another focused on the study of cultural habits and practi-ces. The results obtained in this investigation show in general lines, the existence of an increase in certain cultural habits and practices and highlights certain weaknesses in this university population |
